Marine winches
The ship’s winches are not functioning properly at a customer’s site and besides that, they’re not safe. This puts the operational safety at stake and the safety of all working there is not guaranteed either.
Our solution.
This is a situation that requires a reliable solution. First we extracted the software from the PLC and added correct comments. Then -in collaboration with the customer- software modifications were implemented to achieve essential improvements. When the safety of the winches was established, they had them automated even further to improve functionality. This also eliminated damage to the installation. Finally, the electrical hardware was adapted, all this resulting in a well-functioning and reliable installation again. The customer owns the software.
